But really. It felt more like an intense game of catch up during this break catching up with all other works apart from platforms of course.
But hey. Enough complaining. Because this week, we dive straight into ASSIGNMENT 2.
What’s the difference between a space and place?
Place = Memories?
Space = Just a location?
When I think about the concept of place, I've noticed that my choices are driven by emotion. For example, when someone asks, "Where should we go for lunch?" or "What's a good spot to hang out after school?", my responses usually reflect places where I've had a positive experience or memory. It's like I'm subconsciously drawn to places that hold good memories, choosing them because they give me a sense of comfort or nostalgia. So to me, a place is somewhere that i have learn to appreciate and love for the positive experience i’ve had at that location.
Defunct Floating platform (A way to commemorate it) - Maybe like a kallang wave
Raffles Landing Site
Former Ford factory
I chose these places because there are places i used to visit when i was in Primary School. It felt like for the most part, Singaporeans really only visit this places when they have to and not really during their free time. I personally never visited these places again and really appreciate the site for its significance ever since my primary/secondary school field trips.
Why is it called Mediapipe in the first place?
