Okay this is a spin-off of Hans’s P for Planter exercise where we tried to define what a planter could be by using “A planter is ___” statements. I thought since Hans has already messed my mind up with generating loads of these statements is, what is a few more “A remote control is ___” statements. I really just did this on the bus on my little note book for fun.
But i guess it yielded some decent results. “A remote control is productivity”. Hmmm Then it made me think of Pomodoro timers and the possibility of integrating it with my Algorithmic Agent.
Then i figured, what the heck, lets just create a character that’s. well. sometimes easily distracted. Obviously not representative of me or anyone i know. I would never do that.
But i like the idea of it being a study companion. This idea of trying to get this on screen character stay focus and achieve his goals while you, the player, remains focus too through a Pomodoro timed interaction.
Ignore the very messy drawings. But it helped me form some logic with a rough state diagram.
Here’s what i have in my head:
Default State - Bob Chilling on couch → Working State → Workout State → Sleep State → End State (Happy Bob).
Each transition will be activated by a interaction from the Micro:bit. The initial idea was to attach the micro:bit to the back of a phone through an attachment.
If the phone remains still for 25 mins, Bob remains focused at work.
